OUR BEGINNINGS WERE HUMBLE
Kangaroos Junior Rugby League Club was first formed in 1967 as Western Suburbs. The club’s name was changed to West Kangaroos in 1980 until it became the Kangaroos Junior Rugby League in 1990.
Our club patron Mr. John Brennan was in the first committee formed in 1967 and is still helping out around the club today.

our Teams
Over the past few years Kangaroos Juniors has had a steady growth in player numbers in all grades from Under 6’s through to Under 16’s and most recently our Under 13, Under 15 and Under 17 female teams. We have a fiercely loyal supporter base and are proud to see third generation players wearing the blue and gold each season.
The club has had numerous successes over the years, including winning the prestigious Laurie Spina Shield three times, and each season being well represented at district, division and state level. Most recently a number of Roos players have been selected for the Northern Pride Academy teams.
The success on the field is testament to the commitment of our team coaches and to the innovative club coaching program introduced at the beginning of 2007.
